Upon a recommendation from a fellow flower enthusiast, I stumbled upon the enchanting Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden in Missouri, where I discovered an array of stunning flowers, serene weeping trees, intricate rock formations, swaying cattails, and even the buzzing of friendly bees.
Glass Beach-Fort Bragg, California
After stumbling upon pictures of Glass Beach on Facebook years ago, I made it my mission to visit this renowned site in Fort Bragg, California. Finally achieving my goal, I spent several hours meandering along the beach, marveling at the abundance of seashells and multicolored glass shards glittering in the sand. While watching the sea lions bask in the sun, I couldn’t help but feel charmed by their playful, puppy-like demeanor. With plans to return someday, the memories of my Glass Beach adventure will stay with me forever.
Redwood National Park- California
Embarking on my first visit to Redwood National Park in California, I was awestruck by the magnificent and towering redwood trees that surrounded me. As I walked through the park’s peaceful and serene clearings, I was amazed to see wild animals running free, completely undisturbed by my presence. But the highlight of my trip was undoubtedly the experience of sleeping under the stars, surrounded by the park’s natural beauty and the gentle sounds of the forest. The memories of my visit to Redwood National Park will always hold a special place in my heart.
Pony Express Trail- Utah
Venturing onto the Pony Express Trail in Utah, I set out on a mission to catch sight of the wild mustangs that roam the area. As luck would have it, I stumbled upon a water hole where a large herd of mustangs had gathered to quench their thirst and escape the hot desert sun. I was in awe watching the stallions fiercely protecting their mares and young ones while they drank. I walked around the herd, snapping photos, and found myself in the midst of the mustangs near the water hole, where two curious young horses approached me. As I prepared to leave, I realized a small group of people had gathered to watch me interact with the wild horses, amazed that I had managed to approach them without scaring them off. One woman approached me and expressed that she had never seen anyone walk among the wild horses with such ease and grace. It was a truly unforgettable experience to be accepted and welcomed by the wild horses on the Pony Express Trail.
Salt Lake City- Utah
As I journeyed from my home state to California, I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful and unique city of Salt Lake City, Utah. The city was a refreshing change of pace, with stunning mountain views, friendly locals, and a vibrant culture. The highlight of my trip to Salt Lake City was visiting the Great Salt Lake, where I took in the stunning natural beauty of the salt flats and the vast, shimmering waters of the lake. My visit to this charming and unforgettable city added a delightful twist to my California adventure, and I can’t wait to return and explore more of what Salt Lake City has to offer.
Pony Express Trail- Wyoming
During my travels along the Pony Express Trail in Wyoming, I was determined to spot some of the wild horses that roam the area. While my search only yielded two horses, a stallion and his mare wandering together, it was still a magical sight to behold. As I followed their trail, I found myself on top of a stunning plateau, where I paused to take in the breathtaking panoramic view of a charming little town nestled in the valley below. The experience of standing in the midst of Wyoming’s rugged natural beauty was nothing short of awe-inspiring, and I felt humbled by the majesty of the landscape around me. Although I was only able to spot a few of the wild horses, the stunning vistas of the Pony Express Trail made my journey well worth the effort.
Botanic Garden- Denver, Colorado
Visiting the Botanic Garden in Denver, Colorado was a truly delightful experience. The garden was teeming with an impressive array of colorful blossoms of all shapes and sizes, which added to the natural beauty of the landscape. However, what truly set this garden apart were the many stunning works of art scattered throughout its grounds. From intricate stone statues to intricate glass sculptures, the art seemed to be seamlessly woven into the natural surroundings. I found myself lost in time as I wandered through the garden, admiring each piece of art and taking in the vibrant sights and smells around me. It was a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the beauty of both nature and art.
